TEACHING IN A MULTICULTURAL SOCIETY
PROJECT 1:
African American Group Oppression
This project's objective was to research the oppression of a minority group throughout history, and detail how it could impact performance in school. The group was to also brainstorm solutions to this oppression in school systems. Please note, this can not be viewed directly on the website. USING TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM
PROJECT 2:
Technology Portfolio
This project was created for a course where integrating technology into the classroom was of main focus. The videos below are a showcase of the tools used in the class, as well as how they relate to the ISTE standards. Click on the video links below to see more. Also note, this project was broken into two parts. When creating it, I exceeded the 15 minute limit set by the software used to record the video.
PROJECT 3:
Technology Integration Lesson Plan
The lesson plan below showcases how a standard lesson plan can be enhanced by using different types of technology. The lesson was designed around the concept of the Pythagorean Theorem. In order to keep the lesson meaningful while integrating technology, I planned instruction with the SAMR and TPACK models in mind. Below, the red print is the options for technologies to be used.
UNIT AND LESSON PLANS
PROJECT 4:
Unit Plan
The unit plan below showcases all aspects of planning instruction for a mathematics classroom. It includes an overview of the unit with the objectives and standards to be met, key words and definitions, a content outline and schedule, and daily lesson plans. For the assignment, only five lesson plans were required. The lessons were designed with scaffolding, differentiated instruction, and student engagement in mind.

PROJECT 5:
Assessment Adaptation and Modification
The three PDF files below showcase an assessment that was created for a Pythagorean Theorem unit. I took an assessment that was previously created for field experience. I modified the test based on commonly used, evidence-based modifications and adaptations for disabilities under IDEA. These include chunking questions, providing word banks, and providing lines showing how many steps should be taken to solve any given problem.

EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
PROJECT 6:
Resource File
The website below was created in order to organize resources for secondary mathematics education teachers. It is organized on the basis of grade level, subjects, and the type of materials. For example, there are books, websites, software, and manipulatives that can be utilized across the mathematics curriculum. The link below is the best option for viewing!
