Launching Fall 2026
The digital landscape is expanding exponentially, and with it, the critical need for advanced digital defense. AP Cybersecurity is designed to transition students from passive users of technology into architects of digital security. This college-level course introduces students to the strategic logic, analytical tools, and technical protocols required to protect data, networks, and global infrastructure.
What Students Will Explore:
-
The Architecture of Trust: Demystifying data encryption, network protocols, and the fundamental mathematics behind secure data transmission.
-
Threat Analysis & Mitigation: Investigating real-world cyber threats, identifying systemic vulnerabilities, and designing defensive strategies.
-
Ethics & Global Infrastructure: Analyzing the societal, legal, and economic impacts of cyber warfare, data privacy, and digital policy in a borderless economy.
This course is currently under development to meet rigorous College Board and industry standards. Check back in Fall 2026 for student lab portfolios, curriculum artifacts, and defensive design projects.
